RMTracks are created by Ron McKenzie

Ron has been involved in programming and sequencing backing tracks since the 1980’s and programming Midi Karaoke Files professionally since 1994.

Professional musician and session guitarist and Hammond organ player.

Born 1949 in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Instruments: Guitar, Keyboards, Hammond Organ, Drums.

Ron started playing music when he was 7 years old (piano lessons). Started guitar at age 9 years. Guitarist and Hammond Organ player with several leading Scottish bands in the late 60’s and 70’s touring UK, Germany, USA, Holland.

Bands played with included the Tangerine Machine, The Copycats, Julians Garden, The Motown Review. Supported Eric Clapton, Small Faces, Status Quo, Dave Edmunds, The Marmalade. Worked with several names including Alexis Korner, Elvis Costello, Jeff Beck. Also played venues in London, including Ronnie Scott’s in the West End.

Ron still play gigs, sometimes in a duo, and sometimes with a 4 piece rock/blues band in London.
